Solar Solange

Solange dropped by the PRODn offices last week to remind us of the reason behind her success. As you can see from the pictures below, Solange glows with an almost effortless beauty. Born and bred in the Brazilian city of Florianópolis, we have a hunch that at least some of Solange’s charm and allure is rooted in the beauty of the colonial oceanside landscape in which she grew up.

PRODn has been following Solange’s career since her 2004 debut on the runways of Calvin Klein, Chanel and Jil Sander, when she was merely 16 years old and spoke barely a word of English. She quickly snatched up a deal as the face of Gucci in 2005, and was the opener for the SS 2006 Marc by Marc Jacobs show. We haven’t seen as much of Solange over the past year, so it was refreshing to witness the blooming of this young lady and perhaps even daydream a bit about where we see her headed!

As we look into our little forecasting crystal ball, we can tell the journey is far from over for Solange. We can’t wait to see where she will pop up next!
