We at PRODn are obsessed with Marc Jacobs. (It might be due to the fact that his store sits in our neighborhood, tempting us with his neon-tinged desert boots, waffle-knit cashmere cardigans and airline-inspired jumpers. Marc Jacobs, however, seems to be obsessed with tattoos. Exhibit A: The picture above.
(Sidenote: Marc Jacobs recently named Russian pop duo TATU as the new faces of his Marc by Marc Jacobs campaign. Evidence B, perhaps?)
Marc Jacob’s decorative arm-art provides our latest inspiration for our on-going series entitled “And The Award Goes To…” In the previous installment, we nominated some of our favorite girls with the hottest shoes. Not wanting to leave out their male counterparts, PRODn would like to take the time to showcase some of our favorite boys with tattoos. And the nominees are…
* Whose tattoo do you like best? Which one would you want inked on your body? Send us a comment and let us know! We appreciate hearing what everyone has to say. We also appreciate a wild + dangerous male model with a rock + roll tattoo!

Have you ever wondered how a model walking 20 shows a day manages to make it to each one?
In New York, the results are not great. Between delays in the subway and painfully slow cab rides, models make it backstage 15 minutes, sometimes more, after the show was supposed to have started. The Europeans, however, have been dealing with this issue for years…
Behold, the Scooted solution.
We think every agency should have an arsenal of these at their disposal for next season’s shows.
Ok maybe not this February - we can wait a year until summer.

Art is timeless. The subject, medium, and technology might change, but its beauty and intrinsic value remain constant. So much inspiration is to be had from forms and ideas that have come before, so we at PRODn thought it would indeed be inspirational to revisit some of these beautiful and historic images courtesy of the Art + Commerce Image Archive.
To keep you on your feet, we’ve cleverly inserted some equally beautiful and historic contemporary images to test your EEP, or Extra Era Perception as we’ve coined it.
Leave your answers in the comments section, and check back soon to learn which are vintage and which are mod. FUN!

Current fashion folklore suggests that the girls who open and close the influential Prada and Calvin Klein fashion shows are destined to have a bright future. These highly coveted positions are said to launch a model from relative obscurity to the top of the booking charts.
PRODn has found a cuter way of predicting these girls’ futures: Behold - the Fortune Cookie! Okay, so it’s not exactly scientific and it may not be your typical “Industry Standard” but we think the messages contained within the crispy moon-shaped cookies shouldn’t be ignored. Plus, we happen to love Chinese food and had a surplus of fortune cookies on hand.

Even when we try to concentrate on buying our new fall wardrobe, if a cutie is working the register, you bet we’re not ones to shy away from an opportunity to street cast!

We could only utter one word after seeing Ms. Rocha in this video for Visionaire Magazine / Lacoste…
OBSESSED
That’s right, we pretty much can’t stop thinking about how badly we want to be wearing a head-to-toe vinyl catsuit and ripping off $250 photographically-printed Lacoste polo shirts to Fischerspooner’s “Danse En France.” Legendary!
If you feel like picking up one of these gems featuring designs by Nick Knight, Karl Lagerfeld, Pedro Almodóvar, and an entire cast of who’s who in art, design, music, film, and photography, check out Visionaire’s website below.

As big fans of George Michael, we’re saddened to hear about his recent…uhh…. “troubles with the law.” (Some guys just can’t catch a break!) Luckily, we at PRODn are thinkers, problem-solvers and make-it-happen type personalities, and we won’t let our Brit idol go down without a fight. Rather, we’ve crafted the perfect anti-dote to George Michael’s latest “arrested development.”
When he wanted to shed his teeny-bopper image, the post-Wham George Michael re-invented himself as a hip Nineties sex symbol by releasing Freedom ‘90 - an update to an earlier title with a generation-defining music video full of Supermodels and fashion insider cameos. Another 18 years - and a few nicks on his legal record - later, we think it’s time for George Michael to do it again… Freedom ‘08!
We’re not exactly sure what the song will sound like, but we’ve already compiled our dream cast for the video. Paying homage to Cindy, Tatjana, Naomi, Christy and Linda, we present you the new girls of Freedom ‘08.
* This blog entry is dedicated to all the George Michael fans in the world, and especially one in particular! Have we forgotten anyone? Leave a comment and let us know who!

Last night’s Emmy awards inspired us! Not the awards, exactly, but all the red carpet talk beforehand.
Journalists from around the world asked those hard-hitting questions that only the most astute viewers can answer: “Who wore it best?” “Whose hairstyle are we most jealous of?” “Which was the best looking couple?” (In these scary financial times, the simpler things in life keep us sane!)
So we were wondering - what would happen if we were to compile a list of our personal favorite looks from the models during our recent flurry of go-sees? Thus begins our first in a series called “And The Award Goes To!”
Our first installment? Best Shoes! And the nominees are…
* Whose shoes would you buy? Send us a comment and let us know! We appreciate hearing what everyone has to think. Check back daily for future installments of this new series.

PRODn recently had the pleasure of meeting Petey Wright in our offices and he immediately won us over with his genuine personality, great sense of humor, and of course, his stellar looks. We peered into our PRODn crystal ball and saw great things ahead for this newcomer!
Winning the V Man and Ford Model Search was the start, but debuting at Alexander McQueen in Milan and being the exclusive representative of his gender at the Yves Saint Laurent show in Paris cemented Petey as not just another contest winner, but a real and viable presence in the industry.
The kicker, at least for us, was seeing the amazing shots of Petey and his cover of V Man, as photographed by the legendary Hedi Slimane. Gorgeous!
The following are some of our fave V Man images and a few head shots from our recent go-see with Petey.
Enjoy! We did.
